Frequently asked questions
Why choose « PRP » ?
As the activity of skin cells tends to decrease over time, it is essential to stimulate that cellular activity to maintain a good skin quality. Injections of PRP, which contains a high concentration of growth factors, can boost cellular activity in the treated area and revitalize dull skin or help prevent the natural decline of the skin over time.
Why choose the « Vampire Lift » ?
The « Vampire Lift » is the combination of PRP and microneedling. This synergy is particularly interesting, as microneedling allows the growth factors of PRP to penetrate into the skin without painful injections, while also enhancing skin regeneration for a firmer and smoother skin texture.
Why choose « PRF gel » ?
PRF gel is the combination of growth factors and proteins derived from our own blood. This mixture forms a natural gel that can be used to fill certain hollows or folds, such as sunken eyes or smile lines. It acts both as a skin revitalizer, thanks to the growth factors, and as a 100% natural filler, due to the presence of proteins.
Is PRP suitable for everyone ?
The effectiveness of PRP depends on the concentration of growth factors present in our blood. Certain medications (anticoagulants, anti-inflammatories and corticosteroids) or dietary supplements (omega-3, gingko biloba, turmeric, ginger, vitamin E, garlic) can reduce the release of growth factors and may diminish the quality of PRP. Also, PRP treatments are contraindicated in cases of active autoimmune diseases, bleeding disorders, anemia, infections or active cancer.
Is it dangerous?
The use of PRP or PRF is safe for health. Following a treatment, temporary redness, swelling or minor bruising can occur, but complications are very rare.
Is the result natural?
Yes, the face does not change, but the skin quality improves.
How long does the result last ?
Generally, 3 to 4 sessions are recommended to achieve significant stimulation and see gradual results. After that, a maintenance session every 6 to 12 months is advised to sustain the effects.
Is there an obligation to repeat the treatment?
Not at all. If the treatment is not repeated, the stimulation stops and the natural aging process resumes after several months.
What happens during a treatment ?
The treatment starts by drawing a blood sample, which is centrifuged to obtain PRP or PRF. The resulting PRP can be reinjected into the targeted area using a fine needle (approximately 1 injection point per square centimeter), or applied on the skin after microneedling (for the Vampire Lift). PRF gel is mostly reinjected using a cannula, typically in the under-eye hollows or nasolabial folds.
After the treatment?
After a treatment, the treated area is red for several hours or days. Bruising and swelling can also occur in case of injections and a needle leaves more traces than a cannula. Normal activities can be resumed after treatment, but makeup is not recommended in the treated area the day of treatment. Sports and heat should be avoided for a few days. Facial treatments in the treated area, dental care and vaccinations should be postponed for 14 days.
